Paper Test

I was interested in combining ink, watercolor, and colored pencil, so I bought a variety pack of 5"x7" paper, pulled a bunch of star trek pics off of the internet, and this was the result. I had lots of fun trying out the different paper weights and textures . So far my favorite for combined media paper is Lanaqurelle 140# cold press (McCoy). For straight watercolor I liked arches cold press (Uhura) the best, but it was more textured than I liked when I went to put the colored pencil on. I also painted Kirk and Scotty on hot press paper, but . . . no. Hot press watercolor paper seems to be an entirely different species of paper. I'll have to work with it more before I'm comfortable showing the results to people .
